Romania is an unexpected gem. The capital Bucharest has a great nightlife scene (and a surprising amount of Irish Bars). There is also a lot of culture here and lots of interesting places to visit. Then up to Brasov in Transylvania a picturesque town which takes you back to the old Hammer movies. Outside of Brasov there is a palace or two and a very famous castle.
